CBD Cycles - 12/02/2016
Wow the last couple of weeks have produced some outstanding results for CBD Cycles athletes. With both 70.3 and Challenge races following on from each other in consecutive weeks athletes were forced to choose which to focus on. Long time hard man Damien "Danger" Angus went back to back winning Challenge in his age group and coming a respectable 2nd to rival CBD champ Sam Hume. These two go head to head ever season with Sam holding onto the choclate box with a firm grip. Levi Maxwell raced his first pro race and came a respectable 7th in a stellar field while in the women Wendy McApline and Kristy Hallett held there own in a very deep womens field. Serial winners Rob Hill and Paul Hill won their age groups.(no relation) ,,,,,and Elizabeth Dornom cleaned up her category. Chris Rancie tricked another box as did Judy Somes and Neil Gilbert all coming second and booking themselves in for Gold Coast World champs. Jono Tucker should also get a special mention for winning over in Busso olympic. I've probably missed a number of fantastic PB's and outstanding performances but it's hard to report on races from your lounge room. Congratulations to all that wore the CBD colours and represented so well no matter where you finished. You're all champions in my books. cheers anth
