Which Bike is Best?
CBD Cycles - 24/01/2013
"Big name" Tom Slagter (Giant) takes out a huge stage win in a sprint finish with Matt Goss (Scott) and Philippe Gilbert.(BMC)
This year's leader of the young rider classification Tom-Jelte Slagter (Blanco) means business by winning the third stage from Unley to Stirling at the Santos Tour Down Under. Slagter sprint on the tough uphill run to the finish line put his Giant to the test. A test that the bike was more than capable of handling, holding off Matt Goss (Orica GreenEdge) and world road race champion Philippe Gilbert (BMC) to take his first professional victory.

We often get asked in CBD Cycles which bike is best value for money. Hands down the answer is always Giant!
The best tool to get the job done!
If there was such a difference in performance between high price bikes and Giant then Tom would not have held off World champ Gilbert...on his BMC, or sprint ace Goss on his Scott.
So many of the big brands are so close together as far as performance goes that you can buy two Shimano Dura Ace equipped Giant TCR bikes for the same cost of one of the competitors....and still win a tough stage!
Well done Tom....and Giant.
