Good luck to all the CBD Cycles athletes competing in this weekend's Ironman Melbourne!

It's going to be a cracker of a race, with some big names and a highly competitive field.
The race starts at 7am and the winner will do it in around 8 hours.

The race begins with a 3.8-kilometre swim course in Frankston;

Suggested Supporter Vantage Points:
1. Swim Assembly Area to wish Athlete well
2. The end of the pier
3. Swim exit and run up to transition

Then a 180-kilometre bike ride up the East Link Tollway;

Suggested Supporter Vantage Points:
1. Bike exit from transition
2. Hutton Road intersection
3. Southbound exit from tunnel going uphill
4. Near the Lap Turnaround in Springvale Road
5. Just after Lap Turnaround in Frankston

Finishing with a 42.2-kilometre run along Port Philip Bay towards the finish line at the St Kilda Baths.

1. Run exit from transition
2. Out towards and back from the Southern run turnaround
3. Fan site in Seaford – Big screen TV
4. Fan site in Mordialloc – Big screen TV
5. Fan site in Brighton – Big screen TV
6. Finish chute St Kilda sea baths

With 75 Kona qualifying spots are on offer this year, the action will be red hot!
