Aussies Dominate!

Top favourite Luke Durbridge of Australia has followed Jessica Allen's expamle and stormed his way to victory in the under 23 men's time trial world championship. Jessica
Allen (Australia) won Australia’s first title at the UCI World Championships in Copenhagen winning the women’s Junior time trial.

That's two gold from two events so far! "Durbo the turbo" was fastest at all the time splits and won the world title with a time of 42:47 for the 35.2km two-lap course in central Copenhagen. He was the only rider to break the 43-minute barrier.

Rasmus Christian Quaade (Denmark) finished second with a time of 43:22, while Michael Hepburn (Australia) took the bronze medal with a time of 43:33, despite crashing on a corner.

Allen was the last rider to start the 13.9km time trial. Barker started three places before her and set a time of 19:20. That seemed good enough to secure the title but Allen blasted home to win with a time of 19:18. Germany’s Mieke Kroger took the bronze medal with a time of 19:21.
