Giant Unleashes New TCR
CBD Cycles - 01/07/2011
The bike that started the Compact Road revolution has been revamped. It’s lighter (820 grams for the frameset), stiffer (30 percent more steering stiffness), and features more groundbreaking engineering and manufacturing innovations that are going to leave even the biggest critics impressed with the latest TCR incarnation.

Developed with the Rabobank team, the plain looking pre-production models of the new TCR Advanced SL have been spotted at major Pro Tour events this spring. No doubt that for the Tour itself we will see the new bike in its full production painted livery.
.
Giant has once again establishing a new industry standard in its Advanced and Advanced SL level performance road bikes. OverDrive 2, a new oversized steerer-tube technology, improves steering stiffness by up to 30 percent without adding weight.
Something that doesn’t go unnoticed is the emergence of Giant Wheel Systems. Giant unveiled four new models that will be available on Giant road bikes and as aftermarket gear in 2012. Giant engineers and product developers explained product details and the “System Engineered” design philosophy that led to these best-in-class Wheel Systems. This is a huge step forward for the biggest bike manufacturer in the world and is sure to be a huge success. This is the first time that a whole bike is being manufactured with a specific wheel system in mind. The marrying of frame and wheel design from the start of production will no doubt lead to a more unisom finished product. A true market leader.
We will have the latest Giant TCR Advanced models on the shop floor this coming September. Until then we can enjoy watching them perform on the worlds biggest bike stage, the Tour de France.
